Tangents

Theres a moment between hearing a question and answering it where everything is decided.

Most people dont notice it. But the best ones, the ones who speak like jazz musicians, they in that pause. They know how to hold it. They know how to pivot when the room shifts. They know that saying the right thing is sometimes less important than staying in the room one more sentence.

We built to simulate that room not once, but as many times as it takes.

A short story about a long detour

Julián was prepared. He had his pitch. He had the facts. But people kept slipping away. Calls ended early. Energy vanished.

It wasnt that he was wrong.

What he needed wasnt another playbook

A space to practice detours.

To wander through emotional cul-de-sacs.

To take wrong turns and learn how to recover not by force, but by feel.

What Tangents is

Tangents is a simulator. But not in the traditional sense. It doesnt repeat. It reshapes.

Each session begins with an a prompt, a persona, a tension.

From there, you walk. Or stumble.

You make choices. You listen. You adapt.

You try to find the exit: a sale, a job, a yes.

Sometimes you get there.

Sometimes you dont.

But each time, the labyrinth is different and you come out changed.

Who it’s for

For the people who can speak fluently but freeze under friction.

For the ones preparing for high-stakes conversations or recovering from failed ones.

For the designer simulating edge cases.

For the founder rehearsing their story with a skeptical audience.

For the social chameleon who wants to know how they sound when theyre finally cornered.

Tangents is a place to rehearse chaos.
Not to control it — but to move through it with grace.
